First Batch of the Season!

Made my cheesecake squares for a party that I didn't end up going to because the weather was terrible.  I did, however, share them with some very special friends of mine and got good reviews from both.  Mission accomplished.  :)

The Baking Begins...

This was my first attempt at White Chip Cranberry Blondies.  They turned out pretty good, though I must say I will omit the pecan pieces in the next batch.

 Spent all day at a conference for Commencement Officers.  Yep, it's time to start planning for 2014!  Yikes!

Beautiful Skies

 San Diego has no shortage of beautiful skies.  Unfortunately, I'm usually driving when I see them and on the freeway.  Not ideal for stopping and snapping a pic.  This day I was lucky enough to be a passenger.  I love these skies.

Memory of An Old Friend

 This doll was handmade and given to my parents by one of the most saintly women I've ever known.  Isabelle was a dear lady whose brightly buttoned pants suits were the perfect compliment to her bubbly personality.  This doll has been passed along to me now and I can't help but laugh and think fond thoughts every time I read it's little saying!

Christmas

This is my favorite Christmas decoration this year.  I love the wintery forest look of it - I want to go to the cabin that has this mailbox out front and sip hot apple cider in front of the log fireplace.
